Several studies have shown that cultural competency trainings in general (Asnaani & Hofmann, 2012; Sue, Zane, Nagayama Hall, & Berger, 2009) and regarding the LGBTQ+ community in particular (Bidell, 2013; LaViolette, 2013; Leyva, Breshears, Ringstad, 2014) has a significant positive impact on social workers’ and mental health clinician’s skills, knowledge, and attitude towards marginalized populations.
